|| The Blind Date ||
It was a Sunday afternoon and my real plan was to stay at home and finish reading "the picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. then all of a sudden a friend of my mine called me and told that they have set me up to have a blind date later in the evening. oh geesh, what have they done this time??? he already knew that i hate blind dates especially if it's a guy that I'm going to have a date with. Men and I don't jive together... it'll only end up in a mess. So, despite the fact that i have already foreseen what's going to happen i said yes just to make him happy and not to be rude for that un-lucky guy.
So, i had to fix myself up...oh how i really tried to look presentable hahahaha.... i'll be meeting him around 5 pm somewhere in the metro. Moreover, it was a movie date gosh! i thought to myself; it's gonna be one of those cheap dates i have. but i said yes again, moving forward i arrived at the said meeting place 45 mins early so i decided to look around for other movie options. anyway, the guy texted me (sheesh, he's so cheap why can't he call to inform me that he's gonna be late) that he'll be late. i do get irked whenever someone tells me that he/she is gonna be late coz i hate to wait. i do not have the patience to wait for someone; alright i texted back. since i was at the movie house i was looking around to see what the other films were being shown and vola! i saw juno is already being shown . so i called the guy and informed him that juno's screen time would be at 5.30pm; the only reaction i got was " what's juno? what's its all about? and i already bought tickets for untraceable" gosh, the night would be a disaster. i just said that ellen page was the lead actress on that film and how would i know what the film is all about since i haven't seen it yet. i ended the call.
After 5 mins he texted me and said in all caps "YOU ARE SO FICKLE MINDED" what the??? what did he call me??? fickle minded? how did i became fickle minded? i just informed him about the film but i did not say that i wanted to watch it right now!!!! the nerve of that guy calling me like that. ok, i let it go coz i don't want to ruin the night; i tried to stay positive. so he was there, he's holding the tickets and said "i was here waiting for you for 5 mins? where have you been? i looked stupid waiting..." again!!! the nerve of this guy telling me that he was waiting there for 5 mins already? i informed him 45 mins ago that i already arrived at the movie house. take note: i was there 45 mins earlier than him and he's got the nerve to tell me that he looked stupid for waiting for 5 mins. wow, what have i gotten myself into this time? it's like i want to back out already. ok, enough of that... i apologized for being "late" and thanked him at the same time coz he bought the tickets. he asked what i wanted to drink, i said if there is mineral water i'd like to have one but unfortunately it is not available so i opted to have soda. then inside the movie house we went.
Inside the movie house, we were quiet. so i initiated the conversation and all he said was "i dunno... that's how the movie was written" wow, not even a sensible answer. the movie ended. i said to him that i wanted to go home already coz i was not feeling well ( i didn't feel well, coz the night was already ruined. it was a total disaster) he said fine and he didn't even bothered to ask if i wanted to eat before going home? what's with men? THEM AND THEIR BIG EGO'S!!!
to cut the story short, i ended up regretting the effort and time in meeting him then i cussed my friend for having a blind date that i didn't asked for.
The moral of the story, never to have blind dates again since i hate the ego. i hate boring conversations and lastly, no more men!!!! I'd rather be friends with them than try to have a "budding" relationship with them since in the first place i am not looking for someone right now.
moreover, i like chicks than dicks... hahaha....
